For those of you who missed the opening ceremony of the '08 Beijing Summer Olympics heres one simple word to describe it "WOW". Besides the fact that the stadium properly nicknamed "The Bird Nest" was built almost entirely with the opening ceremonies as its first priority, the controversial country did not disappoint. The opening ceremonies featured a full-field scroll, projection sphere and LED suits in one of the largest displays of lighting technology in history. I just feel bad for London in 2012, I cant see anybody topping this.
